About Us

Bud Ackerman is principal & founder of AW Ackerman Commercial Real Estate Services providing brokerage and consulting services to business owners, investors, lenders and attorneys throughout the state of California.

After a four year Air Force tour in Europe Mr. Ackerman graduated from Arizona State University with a BS degree in Aviation. In the 1980's Mr. Ackerman founded a retail computer company in Sacramento, CA. In eight years he and his partners built the business to four stores and 30 employees with annual sales of $5,000,000. He engineered a merger with a larger retail computer firm in 1987 and together their revenues rose to more than $185 million annually. After 13 years in the business Mr. Ackerman sold his interests to found Cost Management Solutions, a consulting firm focused on negotiating and reducing costs for medium sized companies. Leveraging his experience he became an active commercial real estate broker participating in all areas of the commercial business including gas station businesses, car wash businesses, retail, industrial and multifamily properties. With a background in small business he understands what it takes to make a payroll and the unique solutions required to be successful.

Mr. Ackerman is a commercial pilot with ATP certificate, a California Real Estate Broker, a community volunteer, and is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Point West, Sacramento.
